Middle School 03

ANSEP has partnered with the ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Summer Science Camp (EMBHSSC) since 2010 to offer the ANSEP Middle School Academy as a summer opportunity. Thanks to partnerships with school districts around the state of Alaska, the ANSEP Middle School Academy is also offered during the school year specifically for students from those districts. We are continually developing new partnerships. If interested in how to become an ANSEP Middle School Academy partner district, please contact us at uaa_ansep_msa@uaa.alaska.edu.

Middle School Academy is a two-week experience designed to promote science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education and careers. During this academic and residential academy, students engage in a variety of hands-on activities from building a computer, dissecting squid to testing structures on an earthquake simulation table and much more. Accepted students attend the academy free of charge.
